Introduction

Piece of cake is a one-stop baking app that adjusts to your current skill level to give you personalized recipe and decorating recommendations. Additionally, Piece of Cake uses alternative reality (AR) to help you visualize how your confection will look after it has been decorated.

Project Scope

he scope of this project was to create an app that engages the user using AR. Our group chose to create an AR baking app that allows users to project desired designs onto unfinished baking projects.

Project Challenge

The main challenge of this project was to add the AR into the app in a way that wasn’t unnecessary, we wanted the users to feel inclined to and excited to use the AR portion of the app.

App Goals

Our number 1 goal for this app was to create a visually pleasing app that was easy for the user to follow. Additionally, we wanted to give the user enough recipe and design options, so that they wouldn’t become bored by the app. Finally, we wanted to incorporate AR to allow the user to visualize the finished decoration style of their bake.
